Darryl Talbot

Darryl has been an arranger since he wrote his first chart
in 1974, for a duo he was working in at the time.
Getting to hear a band play all the notes he had written
just hours earlier put him in a great position to learn on the job.

Darryl credits every musician he has ever worked with,
as helping him to fine tune and perfect his craft

He then started work in 1977, writing and copying for
Barlow Music.
Darryl now is the new owner of Barlow Music

Along the way he has written for all the major
Television programs through the 80's and 90's.

Many major Stars around the world
have a Darryl Talbot arrangement in their library.

Darryl gets to work with all the same musicians as you.
So he has first hand knowledge of what works
and what doesn't, from an acts point of view.

All Talbot Music Stock Charts are written
for sight reading musicians who get no rehearsal,
just a brief talk through. So all tricks and traps are clearly marked

Darryl prefers to write charts on a computer these days
mainly because you can hear exactly what has been written
and there is no chance of mistakes

Darryl has enlisted the help of a great musician,
John Hughes, Who was the Pianist at
Mt. Pritchard Community Club. He has since moved up to QLD,
but his charts are still being played by his award winning band.
